About

Bath Spa Uni’s comedy society (that’s us!) are one of Bath’s premium comedy groups. We do improv, sketches and stand-up – both writing and performing. Our flagship comedy night, Proving Grounds, takes place every month at Komedia Bath. In 2014, the Idle Playthings made their Edinburgh Fringe début with the show Ctrl-Alt-Sketch. If all this sounds like your jam, details on how to join are below.Interested in booking us for an event? Want to perform at one of our gigs? Get in touch: theidleplaythings@gmail.com

Think this sounds like fun? Here’s how you can become a part of the society:

Step 1Get in touch

Shoot a message to either our President or our VPs, letting them know you’re interested, and we’ll get back to you with details about the next time we’re meeting up.

You can get in touch via the contact details above, or by sending a message via Facebook.

Step 2Turn up & have fun

Come to one of our weekly sessions and see what we do. There’s no obligation to perform whatsoever — you’re more than welcome to just watch. We’d love to see you perform if you felt up for it though!

Step 3Give us (a tiny bit of) money

Membership of the society costs you just £3 for the entire year. If we haven’t scared you away and you want to keep coming, you can pay that fee over on the SU website. Then just turn up for our weekly sessions and get your funny on!
